The bird is freed – Musk owns Twitter now

The sale of Twitter to Elon Musk has been a fascinating story. From offering to buy it, trying to retract the offer, being sued to buy, to offering to fulfill the original offer, wow, what a story. I enjoyed it very much.

Musk fired Chief Executive Parag Agrawal and Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal after the deal closed, the people said. Mr. Musk also fired Vijaya Gadde, Twitter’s top legal and policy executive, and Sean Edgett, general counsel.

I’m very curious to what changes Elon Musk will implement in the company, both from a technical and from an ethical viewpoint. We know he has recently pointed towards WeChat, the chat app that has grown into a full ecosystem of apps, allowing users to chat, talk, connect to government services, buy and sell things, shop, and game. He suggested Twitter should become some sort of a mix between WeChat and TikTok. He’s also referred to it as ‘X’. Of course, his career started with, the predecessor of Paypal. As said, I am very curious.
